Seriously. I love them. I love the bars, I love their company....I think I may make them a "hearts frame" like I made my Oikos. Megan over at Megan's Munchies had a competition for a new bar from Lara called Jamfrakas. I was so excited to enter, because they aren't sold anywhere in my coastal town. Then Megan announced that LaraBar was so kind that they were going to give free bars to everyone!!!!!As you can see from the pic above, my loot came today!! I was so excited to see that cute little box in my mail. Since becoming gluten free, LaraBar has SAVED me in a pinch. It is so difficult to eat quickly and outside of your house on the go. Gluten free fast food? Nope. Most of the fries are fried with gluten-containing foods AND I refuse to eat a salad from a fast food joint. I just can't do it. But now I always keep a LaraBar in my purse (lately it's been a Peanut Butter Cookie LaraBar) and it has bailed me out many, many times.
First I tried the Chocolate Chip Cosmocrisp. It was SO GOOD!! It seriously tasted like one of those really good granola bars from your childhood, but without the high fructose corn syrup and weirdo three-lettered preservatives. This bar was great! Plus the chocolate is Fair Trade! I can't wait to try another one tomorrow.
Max likes JamFrakas.I'm going to talk to my Co-op about getting these bars in the store. I think kids (and grown-ups!!) will go crazy for them! I asked them to get in the Peanut Butter Cookie Bar and they've been selling like hot cakes, so hopefully they'll be in to these as well.
Tonight for dinner we are baking Lasagna again! Mmmmm...
