My mom's sugar cookies. We have had to alter them and use GF flour as well as take out the almond extract (daughter has nut allergy).

My favorite Christmas cookie is sugar cookies with m&ms in them, cut out in the shape of gingerbread men. When my sister and I were young, we would make these together every Christmas.

Oh my goodness I would LOVE to win this! My favorite cookies are my mom's homemade chocolate chip cookies. I need to experiment with making them in a gluten-free version, but I'm so afraid that they won't turn out right.

It's called a pinwheel cookie that my mom saw in a Sunset mag years ago. It's a flaky butter cookie shaped like a pinwheel with a dollop of jam in the center and sprinkled with chopped almonds or hazelnuts. It's time consuming and we only made it every other year. You have to roll the batter out over and over again and refrigerate after each rolling out. Much like croissants. You have to make the pinwheels by hand. But the payoff was flaky bits of heaven.

Honey cookies! Soft and moist like peanut butter cookies but made with honey instead. I learned to make them from my nanna before she passed away. She loved when all the four generations of her girls would get together and every Christmas we would learn or perfect one of her recipes. My favourite was always those cookies. When I transitioned them to gluten free, it was like she helped bolster my courage. None of us want to mangle or fail at a timeless family recipe.

Keep up your Christmas spirit, that mug is adorable :)

I love the peanut butter hershey kiss cookies! They were always my favorite growing up, and they are super easy to make gluten free. Just mix peanut butter, sugar, and an egg; bake; plop a hershey kiss on top right after they come out of the oven. Delicious!

Let's see: chocolate chip, monster cookies, lemon drop cookies, peanut butter kiss, double chocolate chip....that was all BEFORE the life change!
I found the best flour less, GF, pumpkin almond butter muffins that I think I may have tasted a little bit of heaven on earth.

My Great Aunt used to make the most amazing cookies for the whole family. We waited all year for these incredibly thin, buttery cookies called Clifford T's (I have no idea why) and small powdered sugared rum balls. She passed down her baking skills to all of the women in our family and since my sister and I are gluten free we have become pretty skilled bakers, but since my aunts death none of have been able to reproduce those cookies. However Tate's are pretty darn tasty and I would love to win and share with my sister of course!

My favorite cookies are just plain ol' sugar cookies, but cut out in cute shapes, like Santa, Christmas Trees, and Rudolph. The best part is decorating them with as much icing as they will hold :)

I love all kinds of cookies, but my favorite is one that only my aunt makes. I don't know the name of them, but it's a chewy oatmeal cookie with orange zest & fresh orange juice in it. Each cookie is dipped partly in white chocolate. They are heavenly! When I had my kids she would make them special for me & bring them to the hospital as a delivery gift.
