Five years! I can hardly believe it! Five years of…well…taking pictures of my food

AND looking at pictures of your food! Commiserating with each other. Supporting each other. Getting excited over new foods. Feeling disappointed over not so good foods. Sharing my life with all of you, the successes and the failures. I’ve shared the happiest and some of the saddest moments of my life, right here in this small space on the internet.
My first post:

Soy sauce.
There are so many Gluten Realizations in the beginning, and I remember feeling totally devastated by this one. As it turns out, tamari is WAY better!
It’s fun to look back at those beginning posts. I was terrible at taking pictures, and pretty much every post was like “ Really? I can’t eat this?” or “Is this any good?”.
I’m so thankful for each and every one of you. Reading blogs and writing my own blog opened up an incredible community for me, and I am always grateful for that. I couldn’t have made it through those first years without you.
So I don’t really see this as MY anniversary of writing this blog. I see it more as OUR anniversary of spending time with each other.
I celebrated earlier today with an AMAZING gluten free cupcake from Daisycakes.

I shared it with my friend Katie, and it was SO DARN GOOD! Seriously. Look at the frosting!
Since I was able to celebrate with something so amazing, I thought it would fun to plan a celebration for y’all. And what’s more celebratory than a GIVEAWAY?!

Marlow - You rock! Congrats on 5 years! So glad our blog friendship has become an inperson friendship! Keep the posts coming!
I shared on Facebook using Imaceliac
Tweeted it and I'm super jealous you got a Daisy Cakes cupcake!!!
I love the local stuff and reviews of restaurants/recipes. THANKS!
Yay 5 years! Poptarts! I miss poptarts! Maybe a recipe? I love the recipes and the reviews! Keeps me motivated to try and buy new things!
I think in our world product reviews are the most helpful. Its always so sad to find something GF only to take a bite and want to cry. Even though I am going on three years GF I still search for reviews when trying something new.
Shared on twitter and facebook. :)
I'd like to see more gluten free recipes, but I'm getting tired of trying and wasting money and the recipes don't work, even when you make them as per the recipe to the tee! Sorry!

I shared it on FB and twitter!
Would love more product reviews as it helps to know which product is good before spending 5+ dollars!
Just keeping being YOU! That's why we dig it :)
Ok, so I did 1 and 2. Have a great night!
recipes with simple ingredients!
Do you have any suggestions for party food? I get invited to potlucks and I'd like to bring something fun that doesn't have to be kept warm that no one will suspect is gf. Usually I just show up late and eat at home first. Total bummer.
Happy 5 years! Just keep doing what you're doing. Love it all!
Please more recipes and product reviews, it's so enlightening to read other people's experiences in this gluten-full world
Yeah 5 years! More recipes, please. And posts of puppy dogs. :)
Happy anniversary :)
I actually love the balance you have going on right now, with a mix of recipes, reviews and just "stuff." I think it sets you apart from other GF blogs. To the next 5!

I don't think you should change a thing! Love your blog!

I'd like to see more gluten free crockpot recipes.
I would love to see more inexpensive recipes and product reviews!
Gf people are my fave!
1+ on g+ and shared on fb
Love the chocolate muffins and the blueberry, too. Just came across this blog. How could I have missed it all these years!
I love your product reviews. GF stuff can be so hit or miss and expensive that it is great to know what is good before you buy it.
So about 9 months ago I was told I can no longer eat gluten. I was devastated but I knew what I was getting myself into since my dad has Celiac. But he eats meat, corn tortillas and other Mexican food. I needed something that I can eat now that I am a post-grad and I just so happened to stumble across your blog. Probably the best thing!! I loved see what you make, what your daily life is like and recipes. I say, don't change a thing, keep doing what you do! :) Thanks for helping me so much!!
I love your blog and how you keep us all a part of your daily routine. Since we are always on a tight schedule, I seem to need a lot of tasty, quick, yet nutritious meals for my family. Also, any tips you have for surviving college life gluten free would be awesome! (I will be sharing this on Facebook also.)
Tweeted it (@ColieMarieL)! AND blogged it AND put it on my FB page

Congratulations on five years! I love the local reviews and your product reviews. And more recipes are always a good thing. Great giveaway -- thanks!
Love the product reviews!
Thank you for this blog! 5 years...I can only. Pray I make it there...diagnosed in feb after a stay at hospital and numerous tests...your blog has helped me so much!
Shared on facebook.
Would love to see daily, easy and nutritious recipes (as my weight went up after Gf) as well as products to replace non GF foods.
Thank you!
Wendy
Let's see more daily life posts! I love all the recipes too!
I always want to see cheap and easy GF recipies, main dishes more than desserts. Being GF when really poor is harder than one would think.
Love your site. Check it everyday. Love your reviews they are so helpful in knowing what's good and what isn't. Thanks!
I would love to see more product reviews! Thanks!
I blogged about it!

Andi Lynn . . . Glutino has new "poptarts" and they are really good! If you can't find them locally (my Whole Foods carries them) I am sure you can find them online!
As far as blog ideas . . . simple recipes are good. Of course give-a-ways are always great. Fewer comments about exercising. Thanks for the time you put into blogging.
I love every post, but especially your recipes from stuff that we all have on hand, new product reviews and fitness features! Congrats on 5 years!!
I am also trying to cut calories. I look forward to low-cal gluten-free selections in the future!
Hoping for a second chance to win here --- shared your blog on Facebook tonight! :::::crossing fingers:::::
I do enjoy your take on life! Keep it up.
Definitely more product reviews and recipes. I'm new-ishly diagnosed with celiac disease and struggling with the gluten free lifestyle!
I love when you're just real about the fact that sometimes being celiac/GF is just really annoying! And some days, it's easy and delicious, too.
I'd like to see more of the same. You seem to have a really good balance of healthy and indulgence recipes on your blog, and I enjoy that. Congratulations!
I would love to see more recipes! But really, I love your blog the way it is :) it has helped me so much since going g-free - thanks!
I tweeted about your giveaway - you can see it at twitter.com/kaitlinmcasey
:) thanks!
I like a mix of reviews, recipes, and life!
This post reminds me that I so need to request Rudi's tortillas at my local stores. I love them so much!
Awesome giveaway! I'm still really new to the GF lifestyle, so I'd LOVE more recipes *and* reviews of GF products. Thanks so much :)

i LOVE the product reviews, but i would love them even more if you got your non-gf hubby to rate them in relation to the gluten version. my mom and i are the only ones in the family that have to eat gf, and i've found a few things that my dad and bf can't tell the difference. i'd love more!
More recipes and more product reviews! I love that your recipes are usually quick but so delicious. Your blue ribbon potato salad has also become one of my favorites. Congratulations on 5 years!
Thanks for the giveaway. I would like to see more product reviews, or quick recipes.
Thanks for the giveaway. I love to see more product reviews, there are waaay too many gf products to try!

Love the recipes but love the balance you have going on too. Congrats on 5 years!!
Congratulations on 5 years! I've only just been diagnosed at the end of May and reading all the information I can find! Thanks for all the great posts-it gives me hope :)
Cheers,
Sherri
Would love to learn more about your gluten free life and all the changes you've noticed in yourself. Love the giveaways of course!
Happy anniversary! I've been with you now for 3 of those years. My celiac anniversary is 7/13/10. I would love to see more of your day to day stuff, you know, 'a celiac in the wild' lol. What you bring to eat at work, etc.
I tweeted it and FB it as well :)
Happy 5 years! Love all your posts about fitting I'm exercise and yummy gluten free meals while working - keep them coming!
More product reviews please!

Hello! My Mom is gluten-free, and I'm trying to get as much info as I can about new products and recipes to help her maintain a healthy gluten-free lifestyle. I would love to see more product reviews. My mom and I like to send each other small gifts in the mail, and a new gluten-free treat is a great little surprise. Happy 5 Years! The mason jar tumbler is super cool :)
I would say recipes, especially those that have less sugar and simple grains
