Well, it seems as if I’m not the only one who is waking up to cooler temperatures this week!
Are you guys loving it as much as I am? For me, the slightly cooler temps give me an energy burst! Which…on a Monday…is not a bad thing!
As soon as I stepped outside yesterday morning, I changed my treadmill run to a trail run.
Hugh MacRae Park in Wilmington is great for outdoor running. The trail is relatively flat. Partly shaded and pretty, if you run the outer loop then you can get in almost 5 miles before you even realize it!
After my run, I came back to Jeff and Emily’s house for much needed stretching and core work.
However, even though I spent nearly 20 minutes stretching yesterday, my legs are still killing me today! Nearly 10 miles in two days may not be “easing into it” in my new Nike Flex shoes. So I’m using today as a rest day.
And with the cooler temps, I’m finding every excuse to be outside!

Outside. ^^Seriously?! Best sandwich ever. Steak with caramelized onions, thinly sliced radish, spring mix, and aioli on gluten free bread…I could eat it every day. Seriously. Every. Day.
