Butter, Maple Syrup, AND gluten free!

One of the things that struck me most about those tasty onion rings was not only that they tasted good, but also that they SMELLED amazing while they were cooking. I could literally smell the batter crisping around the sweet onions…and actually telling you that right now has made my mouth water!!

I’ve tried another new to me gluten free food in the past week that had the similar effect. Except instead of smelling like onion rings, it smelled like a tall stack of pancakes loaded with butter and drizzled with syrup.

Nature’s Path Chia Plus frozen waffles, while toasting, smell like that aforementioned heavenly stack of pancakes!

I picked these up last weekend when I was home at my local Harris Teeter. Anything with Chia, Quinoa, and Amaranth has to be good!

And these were! The flavor was so great actually, that I didn’t even dip them in my little serving of syrup.

I was wishing I had some yogurt to bulk up on protein, but not for any lack of flavor. These waffles were great! Crisp on the outside and fluffy on the inside.

AND the smell! The smell is amazing.

Happy Thursday!! Only two days left – including today and I am finished with my summer sessions of school. Holy moley.
