Some weekends are just too good to be true, and it’s funny because I was only off yesterday, but this past weekend was one of the best I’ve ever had!
It started on Saturday night when I arrived home to find a romantic tapas supper complete with outdoor movie waiting for me on my back deck.
Parrish moved our loveseat out onto our back deck with our big coffee table and prepared a tapas feast! I’ve said it before, I’ll say it again: I LOVE TAPAS! What’s not to love about assorted meats, cheese, and pickled things?!
PLUS Schar Gluten Free Baguette!
That baguette was SO GOOD that I didn’t believe it was gluten free! I swear. I actually stopped eating it and went in and checked the package. Yep. It’s gluten free.
My glass of Mont Pellier wine. I’m not a huge white win fan, but on a warm breezy night, pass me a glass.
Sweetest husband ever huh? Yeah, he scored MAJOR points for this surprise. With our meal we enjoyed a casual viewing of Happy Feet 2, and after the sun set and it became too chilly…
We made a pillow fort in our living room and watched the movie Hugo. Max and Hazel were obviously a big fan of Pillow Town.
AND I know the movie choices may sound a bit odd, but Parrish and I watch a lot of movies! After the hell-ish few weeks we’ve both had, some light at heart kid’s movies sounded perfect. Although, we didn’t love either of the movies, it was still a perfect night!
After such a fun night, I woke up yesterday morning to MY BIRTHDAY!
The BIG TWO-NINE.
in the cutest Easter dress ever. Seriously, her cuteness just won’t quit. She’s a stunner.
And quite the egg hunting pro at just three and a half years old! It helps that it was a gorgeous afternoon in NC.
It was such a fun and relaxing way to spend the day, with the folks I love so much.
And the cupcakes I love too! It’s all about the buttercream.
