There’s a new GF pizza to add to the roster!
Lilly’s Pizza in Raleigh, NC
Parrish and I were out and about yesterday in Raleigh, so I googled “gluten free Raleigh” and Lilly’s Pizza popped up. I’m sure glad it did!
The gluten free crust is only available in a small, but it’s plenty big. My toppings: tomato sauce, garlic, mozzarella, spinach, red onion, and mushroom. (Can you see a trend in my pizza toppings?) Most of the ingredients at Lilly’s are organic, and some are even local!
The crust was thin, but not uber-thin. It’s held the weight of the toppings, and didn’t crumble. Overall, it was pretty good. And I think that if I hadn’t had Fuel Pizza’s GF pie in Davidson, I would have thought this was way better.

So the new roster, in order of best to worst:
NUMBER ONE: Fuel Pizza Café
NUMBER TWO: Lilly’s Pizza
NUMBER THREE: Brixx
NUMBER FOUR: Mellow Mushroom
BUT let me stress, I find all of the above pizzas to be good. But dang, that Mellow Mushroom just isn’t the best anymore!
As I write this post, I’m sitting here eating my breakfast:
an Isn’t She Lovely breakfast of champions. Three bites in, I’m SURE that I didn’t toast these little babies long enough……but I’ve already topped them. I can’t waste it! But in typing this post, they’ve only gotten colder. MUST power through!
