So remember the list of resolutions? (list one, list two) Well, it’s a new month, which means one new food!
But I need your help! I’m having a hard time choosing which food to try first, so I picked four possibilities. You guys can choose one! And also, feel free to suggest recipes; I’m fearless :)

1. Dates
2. Cottage Cheese
3. Quinoa
4. Oysters
*And no, you can’t choose all four foods together. I’ve never tried any of these foods, but I’m fairly certain their flavors won’t meld!

Cottage Cheese! It will change your fruit experiences drastically! I like it with apples, raisins, berries, even grape fruit!
Cottage Cheese!! You're going to love it :)
how about Quinoa??
i just tried it for the first time too and loved it!!
i would avoid the oysters, as they are an acquired taste (but if you choose to, eat them raw with a splash of lemon and horseradish)
OYSTERS!!!!
I vote cottage cheese or quinoa! I love them both.
Oysters. Raw with your favorite hot sauce and lemon. Mmmmmmmm....i can eat a couple dozen, easy! :)
Eazy peezy. Dates! They'll revolutionize your baking, because they're a great, healthy sugar substitute. All the sweetness without the nasty refined sugar.

quinoa, it's not scary at all. :)
Either bacon wrapped almond stuffed dates, or cottage cheese with peaches!! MMMM!!
quinoa!
I ♥ it cooked as rice pilaf, well, without the rice...saute diced onions and garlic, maybe some carrot and celery, throw in some slivered almonds at the last to toast a bit, then the quinoa, very lightly toast that, then pour in chicken broth and cook as quinoa package suggests.
Hmm. I may need to make some tonight. That sounds good!
Oysters. Oysters. Oysters. (Does that count as three votes?) Include bacon w/ them, as bacon makes it better. :)
Go for the quinoa. I use it instead of rice all the time. It is so versatile and can even be baked into brownies! Good luck.
Quinoa- you can even sub it for your breakfast oats. A bit of agave nectar or honey on warm quinoa with other mix ins.
I'm a fan of adding curry, peas, onion and chicken (all diced small and added to the quinoa after cooking)for dinner.
I think you'll have fun playing with quinoa. The prewashed stuff is a bit more expensive but worth it. I also make it in my rice maker.
quinoa! you can use it for breakfast (with peanut butter, yum), lunch or dinner, and it's super easy to cook!
Definitely Dates, but buy medjool dates, not the groose ones near the prunes! The reason that I'm saying you should try dates is so that you can make these recipes:

I made them both (although I rolled them into balls instead of bars b/c it was easier) and they are phenomenal!! I'm absolutely in love with Mama Pea's recipe! I think I'll never need to spend 1.25 on a larabar again! If you decide that you like medjool dates, costco sells them for a really reasonable price!
Medjool Dates!!!
Today I just posted my recipe for Coconut Water Date Paste. It is great for making raw desserts or use it in even cooked desserts as a natural and healthy sweetener.

Oysters! Go big :)
My husband and I make a Mediterranean quinoa. We cook the quinoa, then add feta, chopped kalamata olives, and chopped roasted red peppers. It's super tasty! I highly recommend it.
Cottage cheese. Seriously.
Try it on warm toast with pepper and chives sprinkled ontop! Mmmmm!
Quinoa!! Make sure you soak it first! It's a GF girl staple!!
I am torn. Cottage cheese with pineapple is really good. But quinoa would be better for the waistline.
Dates!!!
Its February the month of love...go out & get a few dates!! (Ones that won't ruin your marriage. lol)
Just be sure to get good ones not ones that have been on a shelf forever.
Also they are sweet....just like you lady! Go for it.
Quinoa... i feel silly because i have this in my cupboard, but i have never tried it. I need a new grain...
oysters. fried fried oysters.
QUINOA! It's SO good and versatile! You can use it in SO MANY ways!
Dates! Dates and cottage cheese are definitely eaten weekly, if not daily at our house. I get a giant tub of dates at Costco. My son takes 3 in his lunch box every day. They're already split to remove the pit. I pull them open at the slit and stuff each one with cream cheese and a big walnut or pecan.
Quinoa....I would stay away from the oysters.
Oh, all of those are good, but it is the right time of year for oysters, so I vote for them. When I first went gluten-free, I went on a work trip to New Orleans and would have starved if not for my love of raw oysters (everything else at the dinner buffets was fried). The guy shucking them could not believe how many I could eat. Just remember to take your own gluten-free saltines.
i like everything on your list but oysters! i will vote for cottage cheese, because i love it and have been craving it for the past few days but am too lazy to go to the store and get some. plus, it's cold in chicago! i love to add fresh chopped chives, but i really just like it plain.
