your family Christmas party turns in to a BBQ competition:
You know you’re a Marlow when…
you take the competition to the next level and make ballots.
You know you’re Southern when…
your pulled pork takes up the most real estate on your plate.
You know you’re a Marlow when…
said pulled pork is served on pig placemats.
You know you’re Southern when…
you shake the hand of the competitor who just beat you.
You know you’re a Marlow when…
you have a victory speech already prepared.
You know you’re Southern when…
the supply of sweet tea is unlimited.
You know you’re a Marlow when…
the supply of fresh whipped crème is unlimited.

Our family competition party was so much fun today! The above whipped crème is covering quite possibly the MOST delicious gluten free pumpkin pie that my Dad made! Recipe coming soon!!
But for tonight, I’m in a bit of a pork coma, so I’m off to bed. We have a BIG Ikea shopping trip planned for tomorrow!

Nothing like pulled pork, southern style! We have some great places near us (in Nashville) that have yummy pork. I love southern food (well, what I can eat of it... Still sad about not being able to consume the biscuits).
My Sweet April, this is the greatest post!! Thanks so much for adding to the fun at the party!
