In the Morning

A year ago, if you had told me that I would become a morning person, I would have laughed in your face! Well, maybe not “in your face” but I would have definitely laughed and then shrugged it off, because I had never been a morning person.

My bestie Alex can tell you, I rarely looked forward to waking up. When she and I would car pool to work together she got to see Morning Marlow in full effect. I wasn’t grumpy, just quiet. In actuality, I think I was probably sleeping with my eyes open.

But over the past year, I have slowly but surely taken control of my body clock and woken up earlier and earlier. I would read all these healthy living blogs, where they were getting more accomplished during 5:30 and 8:00am than I could get done in a day. I hated feeling like my life revolved around my job, and so I decided to try.

This morning I woke up on my own at 6:45, and even though my alarm was set for a full hour later, I decided to go ahead and shower. I felt rested and ready.

When I wake up early, it’s just me, Max, and the shadows of the morning. I love this time of the morning. It’s quiet and hopeful.

Twice a week, I wake up at 5:45 for my very part time job. And I’m sort of becoming addicted to my life at 6am. I’m wondering if I will eventually wake up around 6am, even when I’m not working that early.

PLUS waking up early gives me the time to make breakfast and blog about it!

Yes. I am getting married THIS Saturday!!! I’m not 100% sure what posting is going to look like this week, but I’m going to try my best to blog.

Any tips on staying stress free this week?

I was so stressed during the week before my wedding. I didn't think I was until the damn burst, and my darling husband to be told me that he didn't care what happened before or at the wedding as long as we were married at the end of the day. He reminded me of the reason we were having this celebration, it wasn't going to matter if things weren't "perfect", the only thing that mattered was that we were married and we wanted to share that with the people we loved.

Well, not everything went as I had planned, but no one knew it but me. The wedding was beautiful, and everyone was happy. The guests raved about the beauty of it, and how happy they were for us.
We had a wonderful time, a wedding to remember for the rest of our lives.

On Sept. 3rd we celebrated our 6th anniversary, and the wedding memories are still so fresh we just can't believe it was 6 years ago.

Remember, what matters is that you and Parish are married at the end of the day. That's all that matters! The rest is just icing on the cake.

Enjoy your week with excitement and preparations, take good care of yourself, and have fun!
