It’s Bananas

B-A-N-A-N-A-S! Am I the only one who sings that Gwen Stefani song when typing the word bananas?

This morning I woke up early naturally. No alarm clock necessary. (I should say that this NEVER happens) With all the extra time, I decided to make a big BANANAS breakfast!

Arrowhead Mills Gluten Free pancakes with one tbsp. peanut butter and a banana sliced

Who needs syrup when you have PB & B!?

And then I cleaned the kitchen really, really fast so that I could show you the reveal! When Parrish and I moved in to our new house, we immediately began painting the kitchen. Need a recap, revisit here.

It actually didn’t take us that long to paint the kitchen, but up until last week we still had two cabinet doors left. But now we’re finished!

So fresh and so clean, clean!

We decided to leave the doors off a few cabinets:

And I like the contrast that it adds!

And it’s nice to have a space to store all my appliances so that the counter top can be open.

Inspired by Young House Love, we added some cork tiles to the inside of a cabinet door for quick organization.

But my favorite part of my new kitchen…I mean, our new kitchen is being able to look out at my back yard from the sink!

And those creamy colored appliances…

they’ll do for now. :) I will say that the paint color did turn out to be more of a blue-grey than we had hoped, so we may repaint the walls a more true grey. But we’ll see!

P.S. 70 days until my wedding!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Looks gorgeous!!! Thanks for the comment...I will most likely come back in the fall....maybe in a new format...It will be a nice break from school work:)

p.s. if you have never tried Maple Grove's gluten free pancake mix, definitely look for it. SO good! I've also used it as an "All purpose flour" for cookies & cakes when I was out of my brown rice flour/tapioca flour/potato starch blend.

Love the way your kitchen looks! Also the song references throughout your post made it fun to read (you are always fun to read though).

I am going to have to try my pancakes like that!

I cant wait to see wedding details on doing it gluten free!

I LOVE a good before and after, and your kitchen does not disappoint. I love the open cupboards as well. Looks so good on either side of the sink. Love that bar above the sink removed. LOVE YOUR GIANT BACKYARD. I have yard envy. You make living gluten free look easy and delicious. Go, April. :)
