A Day in the Life

Mmmm…more like a week in the life. I can’t believe it’s been over a week since I posted!! –Sorry Laurie ;)

There has been an update to the Whole Foods Scandal situation. To read an official response, just head on over to Gluten Free is Life here. Thank you guys so much for the commiseration. :) I was on the fence about stocking up on 365 products. On the one hand, I really love those affordable mixes but on the other hand, I don’t want to just drag out the inevitable. Any guesses which side of the fence I landed on?

a day in the 012

Oh yeah! :) Much thanks Katie and Alex for contributing to my stockpile!

This morning I started my day

a day in the 004

On the dreadmill with LOST. I missed the episode on Tuesday, and I had been dying to watch and get some questions answered…yeah…no. But the run was great! It was nice to get in my exercise first thing in the morning. For breakfast Parrish and I experimented

with Yoplait Smoothies! I had seen these in the store, so when I saw a coupon for them I decided to give it a go.

His and Hers smoothies. (And yes, we are a house divided.)

The verdict…ehhh. I liked the idea of the frozen fruit with frozen yogurt chunks, but the added sugar was less than necessary. They have nothing on a green monster!

Today at work was go, go, go. We had a few shipments come in and then we re-merchandised the store. Mid morning I snacked on an oldie but a goodie:

househuntings 001

And in the afternoon I snacked on a new favorite:

a day in the 002

LOVE THESE Amazing Grass food energy bars!

If you haven’t tried these yet, I highly recommend the chocolate one :)

Ok, so back to regular posting okay?! Remember that tasty veggie burger post? Well expect even tastier posts now that I have this new cookbook:

a day in the 014

and this new cookbook:

a day in the 015

Thanks for telling us about the Yoplait Smoothies mix. I was thinking about getting those the other day, but now I don't think I will. :) I was just on Babycakes LA website the other day looking for Gluten-free wedding cakes. By the way, what are you going to do for a cake at your wedding?

I have NO idea! I was thinking of making little shortcakes myself and serving it with strawberries and fresh cream. Or maybe making cupcakes...I need to assemble an army of gluten free gals to come help me!!

Oooh I want the Babycakes cookbook!! And I need more healthy cookbooks too. But I also subscribe to Clean Eating mag and they are piling up and I have yet to try a recipe. Gotta get on that!

Good to know about the yoplait mix. Companies seem to add SO much sugar to things when it's not necessary.

I love my Babycakes cookbook and I'm sure you will too. Just the photos alone make it a great purchase.

I Love the Short cake and strawberry idea! Especially since it's and outdoor wedding. It keeps it very fresh and light.

I actually heard that Babycakes isn't all that awesome. I mean, they rock because they make healthy junk food... but that often times, you can do better on your own. That said, I really look forward to seeing how you take their recipes and make them awesomer.

Heidi, on the other hand, is the SHIT!
