Let’s make a deal

I’m so excited that you guys like the bridesmaid dresses! Picking them out was SO hard. I wanted my girls to feel pretty and look pretty, but all 8 of them are SO different! Totally different skin tones and hair color…not to mention heights!! But they all love them, and I think they liked getting to choose their own color. The only problem…I really want one too!! Yeah…that is SO not in the budget :)

Since you guys enjoyed them, I thought I would show you a picture of…

my possible wedding dress :)

you guys have to make me a deal. If I show you the picture, one or all of you lovely readers have to email me EVERYDAY and remind me that I want to look smokin’ hot in this dress and that I need to drop the french fry and get on the dreadmill. I’m not joking. I have 8 months to work this gluten free fry baby belly into shape…and I need your help and motivation :)

Deal? Ok. Here it is:

Simple. Flowy. Little bit of cleavage. Totally me :)

So now you understand where the belt comes in. I will def need some sort of sparkly sash or bow or brooch to jazz up the band above the waist. Now, I haven’t bought this dress yet, so I don’t want to officially say this is it. BUT I’m pretty sure this is it. I can feel it in my gut.

But I do know for sure that this is how I want to do my hair:

With a flower for sure!!

What do you guys think? Any ideas for the belt/slash/brooch/bit of sparkle?

*************Alright, off to bed! Tomorrow I work and then…

I am off of work for 7 DAYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!

What am I going to do with myself? Besides catch my breath :) On the horizon I have a fun night out in Hillsborough planned, another butt kicking yoga session, clean clean cleaning, and a little trip down to Wilmington to visit friends and a brand new baby girl :)

Sweet dress!!!! I'm getting married in November and going through the whole dress buying thing so I can totally relate.

When I was at the bridal salon they showed me beading and crystal detailing they could add to dresses. Essentially you purchased a sash with the details attached and your seamstress could remove the desired elements from there and put them on your dress. Just a thought.

Oh btw I posted about my dress on my last post. We could make a deal if you want and act as each other's motivator (slash baggy blog buddy)! :oP

Darn it, I lost my comment!

It was all, "Or choose to be HAPPY with you, as you are, in this life that makes you happy. Trying to conform to some number sewn on a piece of fabric ain't gonna make one whit of difference to your wedding - or relationship.

If you have some poor habits, work on those, but don't obsess over some random number on a scale, or in a dress.

When the pressure's off, and you don't have the motivation to keep it up, and the weight that you're supposed to be comes back...

Anyways. :P

"Above all whilst it’s important to eat well and exercise regularly it’s also important to accept that women come in all shapes and sizes and it’s not possible to lose weight beyond our natural limitations. No matter what your natural body type, a well-fitted gown and expert hair and make-up will ensure you glow with beauty on your wedding day. Remember your smile and radiant happiness is what your guests will really remember!"

Also, I'd be happy to help you! Just send me all those food samples, and I'll review them for you. :)

gorgeous! very pretty!!!

don't worry too much about loosing weight, i know everyone probably says that, I stressed a bit about it - but honestly, feel 100% gorgeous in the dress as you are now, and if you loose a little - bonus! I must admit, knowing the day was getting close, I thought about the photos that we would have FOREVER, and tended to eat healthier & work out more...

also - etsy has some great add-on accessories for bridal gowns, did a quick look here:

thanks for sharing your wedding planning with us!!! it's so fun to hear about :)

Hi, Just found your blog while searching for a gf bread recipe. And I live in Durham. I bought that j crew bride's dress for myself and ended up returning it - go try it on before you get your heart set on it like I did. The cross over bit in front bowed on my body and I couldn't get it to lie flat no matter how hard I tried. It may be different now though -
