Today started like this
Tall, non-fat White Mocha no-whip – only 2 shots today :)
Being that I was sick last week, I knew that today would be…less than calm, but I have to say, it was pretty crazy! Exciting but crazy.
By the time I was on my way home, I was worn out. I wanted one thing for supper. And in all seriousness when the thought crossed my mind, I couldn’t believe it. I wanted a hot dog.
I made a quick stop at Whole Foods and picked up
I can’t even remember the last time I had a hot dog…I’m thinking it may have been last December at a birthday party. I remember snacking on a delicious dog, and Alex telling me that they had buns…yeah, she forgot I couldn’t eat them :)
The buns were EXPENSIVE! Over 6 dollars for 4 buns. Crazy expensive. But I figured that if it has been almost an entire year since I’d had a hot dog, I was going to have one on a bun. The buns were great. Best served piping hot from the microwave.
Tasty!
I didn’t even look at the calories and fat on anything! I wanted to enjoy this meal for exactly what it was, my once a year hot dog, with no worries!
*********
So you may have read in my tweets last night, that Parrish and I had our first fire in our fireplace! It was awesome! Super cozy. Ok. BUT tonight our den smells like the inside of a campfire! Any ideas? I guess I’m going to go ahead and sweep up the ash…hopefully that will help!

That hotdog looks mighty good to me! I used to eat those very hotdogs, once in a while. Can't get them here, though. Now, I'm hungry. Glad you're feeling a lot better.
OK this is a goofy question... but did you have the flew open? It may need cleaning out.
I suggest preparing a nice fragrant meal for me to enjoy vicariously to get a new smell in the house. ;)
& this post is really making me regret not getting up a touch earlier and making it to Starbuck for a pumpkin spice latte. I having starting adding shots yet, but I think I should.
Woah! I'm really craving a hotdog now!
I know how you feel, good GF buns are so expensive! I was in the supermarket the other day and spied these BEAUTIFUL looking burger buns. They looked just like they came from McDonalds, but the price?! Wow! It was over $2 per bun, crazy! and they wern't that big either!
You have found my secret quick fix dinner! I'm a sucker for applegate farms uncured hot dogs, but I love the chicken dogs. I must admit I haven't gone for the kinnikinnick bun yet (as they're way expensive) but I'm a huge fan of all their other products: cookies, muffins, pizza crusts yum :)
Just wanted to say I'm glad you've found them as a quick and easy joy too!
I agree - those buns are so expensive, but so worth it! Love Applegate farms for meats -- nitrites & nitrates scare me.
Cottage- Oh no!! We need to ship you some on ice!
Moon- The fire last night didn't leave as much of an odor today, hopefully that fixed it. I am all about the three shot.
Theresa- I know!! I really want to try making my own bread.
Suz- Love those! The buns were great. I enjoyed a sandwich on them yesterday. They MUST be microwaved before eating though, and eaten before cooled. I still haven't broken down and looked at the nutrition facts yet...
Kate- Me too! I love Applegate Farms! They make SUPER tasty GF chicken nuggets.
