On the way home today I heard on NPR that Gourmet Magazine is going to be no more. (Also on the chopping block: Cookie and Modern Bride; read here)
Little did I know that at the exact same time I was listening to this story, Parrish was at home preparing HANDS DOWN the most delicious meal I have ever eaten.
Filet Mignon basted in Brown Herbed Butter
I often eat delicious food. If you’ve read my blog even for a week, you’ll notice that almost all my meals deliver tasty reviews. But the meal that I enjoyed tonight stopped me in tracks. I literally let each bite melt in my mouth. The outside was crispy…the steak was tender. It’s now an hour past, and I would totally do the entire meal all over again!
He served it alongside pillowy mashed potatoes with garlic.
