For the past few days my twitter updates have consisted of being tired…and the fact that the weather here is AHHMAZING!!! Having lived in the South my entire life, I have come to cherish the first days of fall. I know it’s not officially fall yet, but the weather in NC this week has been DELICIOUS!!!
It’s amazing how a simple cooling in the air can put me in a GREAT mood!! I literally drive to work happier…the cup of Fair Trade Rwandan coffee in my hand might help too :) !!
Tonight when I was looking at other folk’s blogs, I saw a recurring theme of autumn happiness. However, it didn’t have anything to do with the weather. Instead it had to do with a certain drink returning to Starbuck’s.
And while this drink doesn’t inspire much in me, I do know someone who will appreciate this.
So, in honor of my sister Joan (my very best friend):
My sister LOVES the pumpkin spice latte!
I am still mad at Starbucks for dropping their gluten free orange cake…however, calorie-wise I can’t say that I ate it very often. So I guess I can’t really say that I blame them.
I’m going to email Starbucks to be sure that I can partake of the happiness that is the Pumpkin Spice Latter, so I’ll let you guys know!!
Is there anything about Autumn that makes you happy?

I had my first one of the season yesterday & it was A DIVINE moment!!! Did you ever see the episode of Ally McBeal where she talks about the first sip of coffee & the anticipation? Completely like that. I had to wait to get in my car to try it since every time I got it close to my mouth & smelled it & was deliriously delighted! Heaven on earth this drink is.
oh man I want another NOW.
That sign makes me giddy!
I tried the Pumpkin Spice Latte for the first time, it was yummy. I love how Fall smells - so crisp and clean, but also a bit warm. It's hard to explain in words, but everyone know that smells.
But we should definitely grab lunch sometime! I`m not sure of what good places to eat there out around, so you can name the place. :)
Hmm...I'm thinking, maybe, pumpkin spice tea latte?! I might give it a try.
Just found your blog--I'm GF too :)
This morning on my way to work I enjoyed a non-fat, no whip pumpkin spice latte and it was AHHmazing!! No glutened side effects!!
MoonG- Totally remember!!
Emily- Yes!! Let's email about a day in September! marlowapril@glutenhatesme.com
Cinnamon- Yay! I'm so glad! Tea latte sounds great!!
Aww you know what makes me happy!!! This was the one thing that I missed while having diabetes. :)
I had one today, and one last week. The one last week had no side-effects, but the one I drank today left me feeling a bit glutened, although I guess it could be something else since I am fairly new to the celiac world. Can't wait to hear the verdict on this yummy drink!
